Elevator Pitch

Hamachi the Psychotic Killer is a 2D horror platformer that finally lets you embrace the role of the villain. Take control of Hamachi, a cute but utterly deranged demon possessed killer, and carve your own bloody (or surprisingly merciful) path through a world filled with innocent bystanders, demonic bosses, and law enforcement ready to take you down.

Will you indulge in mindless slaughter, spare lives to unlock hidden alliances, or walk the neutral line? Your choice shapes the story and leads to one of three dramatically different endings — plus a secret fourth ending for the truly dedicated.

Recruit spared bosses, evade (or brutally eliminate) the police when your kill count gets too high, unleash temporary invincibility with the chainsaw power-up, and stay topped up in HP with Premium Sushi deliveries from Penelope Pom Pom Pink.

With its adorable yet gruesome pixel-art style, energetic soundtrack, and kill count system, Hamachi the Psychotic Killer delivers a fresh, chaotic twist on the classic platformer formula — all hand-crafted with love by a (mostly) one-person team.

Description

In Hamachi the Psychotic Killer, you play as a demon possessed piece of tofu named Hamachi — an unhinged, axe-wielding anti-hero on a rampage under the control of the Great Demon Queen, "Demon Queen Deity". Decide the fate of everyone you meet: kill, spare, or ignore them entirely. Your actions dramatically change the end, and which characters will stand with (or against) you.

Three main routes — Pacifist, Neutral, and Genocide — plus a hidden ending ensure massive replay value. Killing attracts the police, turning your first encounter with the law into a high-stakes chase. Spare certain demonic bosses and they’ll join your party, bringing their assistance in the final battle on a True Pacifist route.

Hand-drawn vibrant pixel art, a pumping original soundtrack, and a twisted sense of humor make this solo-dev passion project stand out in the horror-platformer genre.

Our Story

Hamachi the Psychotic Killer is created by Gavin O'Riley, an independent developer based in Los Angeles, USA. What started as an idea — “Normally you always play as the hero in platformer games, What if the roles were reversed and you were the bad guy?” — has grown into a full-fledged passion project packed with branching paths, recruitable bosses, and plenty of gore (or surprisingly wholesome moments).

Built almost entirely by one person, with occasional help from talented freelancers for music and additional art, the game is a love letter to classic platformers, morality systems, and over-the-top villainy.
